Giuliano Cameroni Opens a V15 in Switzerland
Prolific first ascensionist Giuliano Cameroni has just opened Trentatré Trentini V15 (8C) at Gotthard Pass near Ticino, Switzerland. The Swiss climber has now made the first ascent of more than a dozen boulder problems graded V15 or harder, three of which are V16. Trentatré Trentini is a low start to the classic Trieste Gottardo V10, which features a very technical, powerful pistol squat move before gaining the lip. Neo Suzuki Wins Gold at First Lead World Cup of the Season
The first Lead World Cup of the 2026 season took place over the weekend in Wujiang, China. Neo Suzuki won gold, with Tokyo Olympic gold medallist Alberto Ginés López placing second and Dohyun Lee placing third. The route for the finals was a tough one, and saw no tops. Suzuki may have climbed to the highest point of all the competitors, but he was still several moves away from the end. Perhaps this is why he said to World Climbing , “I’m satisfied with the result, but my performance in the final wasn’t good enough for me.
